Ameo Prod Founder, Artistic Director and Composer Olivier Deriviere has been working in the Video Game Industry for almost a decade now. He has worked as Audio Director, Music Supervisor and Free Lance Composer on many different projects.

What is your vision of video game scoring?
Being a hardcore gamer since childhood, I have played over a thousand games on various consoles ranging from C64 to Xbox360 & PS3. I view games as the next major artistic medium and I want to explore it as much as I can.
Still, scoring a video game requires a different approach. A film's audience is strictly passive, while a gaming audience identifies with in-game characters interactively. This means that in scoring a game, the music must not only support the themes and emotions of the game itself - it must also take the player into consideration.

What is your music style?
Thanks to my musical education I'm very versatile (as many composers in film scoring are) - but I own my personal universe. I'm much more enthusiastic about creating entirely unique musical worlds with great themes.

I've founded Ameo Prod to bring music services in line with my vision to video game scoring all around the world. Thanks to my range of experience, from in-house composer to producer, I know the requirements from a technical and artistic standpoint that are necessary to provide quality music.
